Remarks
1959- (R.488: 1953-)
excenter regulator for stud carrier
An intermediate wheel between minute pinion and the rest of the train allows big balance and low profile without reducing the sturdiness (cf. Cyma 10 Pleiade).
Moreover this layout allows to place the seconds wheel either in the center or for a sub second, without further modifications
Fig.4: The minute wheel A is not attached as common to the minute pinion B, but driven over an intermediate wheel C. The third wheel (not shown) is beared concentrically to C. This position enables it to drive a sweep-second pinion located at B, as well as a sub-second pinion at D.
Fig.5: Jewels without function are occasionally met, jewels with two functions almost never: On the jewel post A runs the intermediate wheel with its steel bushing, and in its hole the third wheel. Quality features: The helical gearing of the winding pinion B guarantees a smooth transmission from the crown to the crown wheel. Almost all threads are pressed in bushings C, and alignment pins are not necessary. This simplyfies assembling, and neither a broken screw nor a damaged thread are a problem.
