The similarity to early Longines movements (e.g. Longines 18.50) can't be denied, but a relation between Latitude and Longines is not known.

I've seen an open-face variant of this calibre with the signature Longitude. After trademark registers and after the case signature this could be assigned to Ernest Degoumois, St.-Imier (CH). So this company was likely also responsible for the calibre shown here, and due to the narrow vincinity to Longines certain contacts can't be denied.

Example, year: signature; shock device
ca. 1890: Latitude - 262

Not for Sale!
The movements presented in this caliber finder are not for sale. This is only a data sheet for identification and evaluation of the movement calibre, as well as for approximate dating.
