Forever young
For the cover the same material is used as for stone drill bits. It can only be scratched by harder materials, e.g. diamond. No means to find out whether the crystal is accordingly made of sapphire - sorry. But attention, these hard materials are breakable. With a heavy hammer you could strike the watch into pieces.
