Comments about the data

Remarks
1964-1972
especially for Ocean Star with lever to release the stem from the dial side
The finish of movement and rotor can't be assigned to the production date (see also other members of the family).
Early samples still have the split stem of the predecessor (Fig.3), because dial or case have no cut-out to access the release lever. As this stem can't be pressed in deep enough for setting the date, this must be set by changing between 20 and 24h.
Attention, from this stem the crown section can't be pulled off; the crown must be turned so that the stem can leave the T-gap when the movement drops out of the front of the case.
In Fig.4 and 5 the thinner stem without clutch is visible, which is necessary for the quickset.
Indirect minute (Fig.5-8):
Minute wheel and cannon pinion sit between the plates, and only their brearings A are visible in Fig.5 and 6. Only removing the bridges gives access to the minute wheel A in Fig.7. Fig.8 shows the minute wheel with cannon pinion. Over gear A it is driven by the barrel, and the friction-coupled cannon pinion B drives the hands gear. The section C with the notch for the friction is rather short, and it is difficult to narrow it, to enhance the friction.
Reed's regulator (Fig.9):
With holes in the head of the regulator screw, this can be precisely adjusted, without the danger to ruin balance or hairspring with a slipping off screw driver.
