In my archive is written: 1955 the PUW 60/61 was regarded as the only German movement with chronometer capability. Probably the reason was that the movements were tested by the traditionally responsible Deutsches Hydrographisches Institut Hamburg, while Junghans chronometers were tested by the PTB in Braunschweig. Unfortunately ebay sellers use this information to describe almost every watch with identified PUW 60/61 as chronometer. The PUW 60/61 is without doubts a good movement, but chronometer certified samples are rather rare. This one is definitely no chronometer, and on ebay I've not yet noticed any..
