1922: Founded as Uhrenfabrik Villingen (Watch Factory Villingen), firstly for production of alarm clocks, later also other kinds of timepieces.
1926: Acquisition by J. Kaiser, extending the production volume to more than 6000 timepieces daily until the mid 30s.
1935: Raising a building for production of pocket watches and travel alarms.
1940: After the death of J. Kaiser continued by his sons Franz, Oskar, and Rudolf.
1945: Complete disassembly of facilities as compensation after WWII.
1948: Restart and steady growth as J. Kaiser GmbH (Ltd.)
Comments about the data
Besides many clock and alarm-clock calibres only few watch calibres are known, which are based on just two basic calibres, the Kaiser 8(38) for pocket watches and the Kaiser 9(48) for wrist watches, up to the automatic Kaiser 20.
