The base movement has 17 jewels. The use of 4 jewels in the automatic varies: In the first example the pawl wheels have upper and lower jewel bearings, and the reduction gear is supported by steel "jewels". In the second example the pawl wheels have only upper jewels, and the reduction gear is supported by two jewels (right in Fig.5).
The family is based on the manual wind calibre AS 1687/1688.
The automatic mechanism is a joint development of Doxa, Eberhard, Favre-Leuba, Girard-Perregaux, and Zodiac.
