Case: 18K gold, mineral crystal, periphery engraved and pearced with nois apertures, hinged bezel, swing-out movement, dust cap on movement, D=49.5mm
Outer case: approx. contemporary, but probably not original, stong gold plating (still no brassing), leather cover renewed some tim ago, D= 60mm
Dial: Eardley Norton, enamel, domed, fine gold piqué dots
Movement: calibre Eardley Norton 19''', gold plated, typical for Norton: the thick deeply engraved and chased decoration plate, co,petely covering the full-plate, 2 jewels, key wind, fusee/chain, verge escapement, silver regulator disc, ring balance under finely pearced balance cock
Repeater: very loud! pendant operated, 2 hammers on bell, hook-lever regulator, slide for volume control (not very efficient)
Condition: C1, D1-2, M0, outer case not graded, dial degrades dur to the only scratch, visible in the pics - no hairlines, nor chips
Britten: Eardley Norton, 1760-94,
one of the most famous makers in England, espicially for complicated watches and clocks
