But on the dial side actually something happened between the 4 generations, and the first two were even not yet called PUW 500, as the dial of this watch indicates: On its back side "8 ł/4 / 12, PUW" is embossed. Important Steel cases are more valuable than chromed or gilt cases. And for very old watches they were scarcely used, and therefore electrify collectors. On ebay almost every chromed watch is offered as steel watch, and even gilt cases are designated as gold or at least as gilt steel cases. In my descriptons steel is a guaranteed feature - and important: There is a return privilege. As many don't realise this delicate difference, ebay appears as more economical source at the first glance.
