Heuer? Leonidas? On ebay a stop watch like this is of course a Heuer or Heuer-Leonidas (although both merged not before the 60s). I don't know it better, but movement registers list this calibre as AS 943, Heuer 943, Heuer 960-987, and/or Leonidas 943, mostly equal, occasionally with minor differences, and sometimes with the wrong diameter 19'''. As Heuer and Leonidas were specialists for stop watches, while AS was a movement manufacturer, one may suspect that Heuer and Leonidas were at least involved in the design, and AS produced the movements. Mechanical Stop Watches are still up to date: Stopper app already installed, no battery, no charging device, handy, always ready to use. Thus no surprise that they are still produced and even bought, but remarkably more expensive. And when comparing old vs new, consider that wear is no issue for stop watches; most run only occasionally few minutes. Basics for this Description
